IP Rating Chart
When buying a portable temporary LED Light, ask the right questions about protection. You need to ensure your light will work at your Site without being damaged or harmful to you and co-workers.
The numbers that correspond with Ingress Protection each have a specific meaning. The table below should help to explain each IP Rating.
- The first number indicates the degree of protection from moving parts (tools) and protection of enclosed equipment from foreign objects (soil, pests, etc.).
